In Arizona, more than 500,000 children are on their own after school and kids who do not have somewhere safe to go after school are more likely to engage in risky behavior or become victims of crime.  We know that meaningful after school programs inspire kids to learn, support kids’ social and emotional well-being and supports families. We firmly believe that every child deserves to learn, grow and thrive in a safe and supportive environment without a series of roadblocks on their quest for success.  

 Our philosophy is never turning away a child due to their family’s financial situation. The fees collected only cover 15% of our expenses; we rely on governmental and grant assistance, fundraising events, and business and individual donations to operate our clubs. We are committed to fulfilling our mission to inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens with programs for:

• Academic Success: We want all of our members to graduate from high school ready for college, trade school, military service or employment.
• Good Character & Citizenship: We want all of our members to be engaged citizens who are involved in their communities and who model strong character.
• Healthy Lifestyles: We want all members to adopt a healthy diet, to practice healthy lifestyle choices and to make a lifetime commitment to fitness.

This is in line with and affirms our Mission and Vision of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sun Corridor.  We dance because “GREAT FUTURES START HERE”.
