Kelly Anderson & Mindy Melillo

Kelly Anderson

After serving in the Air Force, Kelly Anderson had nearly a 20-year occupational safety and health career in the construction and mining industries.  Now as the Executive Director of the Maricopa Chamber of Commerce, she focuses on helping our local businesses succeed and watching our community grow.  Giving back to the community is extremely important to Kelly.

Kelly grew up in a very small community near Santa Cruz, California.  Growing up, she was unsure of what she wanted to do with her life, even though her parents told her that she would be a great lawyer since she argued about everything!  Kelly and her husband, Ted, have three sons; Cody, his wife and grandson; Brendan, and Cameron.

Kelly loves to dance!  But she is mostly excited about helping grow and support the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sun Corridor.

It is not surprising to learn that Kelly has been an aircraft mechanic and expert marksman, loves to cook and has traveled to the Democratic Republic of the Congo.  There is nothing that will stop Kelly from Dancing her way to the Mirror Ball!

Mindy melillo

Mindy Melillo returns for her second season of Dancing for Our Stars.  She is the owner and instructor of The Dance Spot in San Tan Valley.  Mindy has been dancing for 36 years, and teaching dance for 28 years.  She has owned her dance studio in San Tan Valley since May of 2012.

A few of her professional accolades include dancing with Weird Al Yankovic, Alice Cooper, Super Bowl Half Time show, and dancing abroad in Japan.  Her favorite professional highlight is the children, and the opportunity to continue to be a positive role model and outlet to the community.

Mindy didn’t know what to expect during her first season of Dancing for Our Stars and was elated when her and her partner/celebrity, Dr. Adam Leckie won the Judges’ Choice Award.  Immediately following the final curtain call, she expressed her desire to be a part of every future season in “whatever capacity is needed”.  Mindy is ready to add the Mirror Ball winner to her professional triumphs!
